Soundbag Dashboards Goes Modular
Introducing the next evolution of Soundbag Dashboards. We’ve taken the original concept of the Soundbag Dashboard and evolved it to be completely modular and customizable to a sound mixer’s exact setup. The new modular design allows the end user to create a completely customizable Soundbag Dashboard.
How it works
Start by choosing a Soundbag Dashboard “Rail” to fit your mixer/recorder. Each Soundbag Dashboard mixer rail is designed to fit perfectly to a specific mixer, with no modifications needed.
No messy adhesive, velcro or straps! Just like the original Soundbag Dashboard, the low profile Soundbag Dashboard Rails seamlessly attach to your mixer using existing mounting points.
Next, choose from our selection of low profile “Brackets” that fit your wireless receivers. Soundbag Dashboards has designed brackets for most of today’s top wireless receivers, including Lectrosonics, Shure, Sound Devices and more. Just like the mixer rails, every Soundbag Dashboard receiver bracket is precision machined to attach to a specific wireless receiver, using pre-existing mounting points. You can choose from single receiver brackets or dual brackets. Single brackets hold one receiver while dual brackets allow you to stack two receivers at a time. Soundbag Dashboards also has a bracket for some of the most popular Battery Distribution Systems on the market.
Now, slide the receiver brackets onto the “Rail” and position them wherever works best for you. When you’re happy with the positioning, you can lock them in place by tightening the set screws located at the bottom of the Soundbag Dashboard rail, using the provided Allen key. Brackets can slide parallel with the rail or, in a Soundbag Dashboards first, the brackets can be turned 90 degrees to the rail, so you can fit more receivers onto your Soundbag Dashboard and allow even more customization of your setup.
There you go! You’ve now created your own custom Soundbag Dashboard that is personalized to your exact kit.

- All components are precision machined out of lightweight, aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum, for years of use in the most extreme conditions. There are no printed plastic parts that can warp, crack or break.

- As manufacturers introduce new audio equipment, Soundbag Dashboards will create new rails and brackets to allow you to update your kit, without having to purchase a whole new Dashboard.

Wow! What an experience we've had at Soundbag Dashboards over the years. Thank you to all of you for your support with our small business. We've been asked many times for new models to fit the many different mixers hitting the market. New options for Battery Distribution Systems and new set ups have also been requested. The team at Soundbag Dashboards have been working hard to find new ways to meet all your requests and we're finally ready to launch our new options on June 1st, 2023!
Owner, Simon Paine, has been thinking hard about the best way to meet the many requests from users and has come up with a new Modular Dashboard System. The manufacturing company is behind and as such, it unfortunately means that we are still without stock for this particular model. We've improved the 633 Dashboards by making them smaller and lighter but still with the same capabilities as before! Well it's certainly nice to be popular, but it turns out that the 633V2 model was too popular for its own good and we're currently out of stock. We expect to be fully re-stocked on all models by the end of August so please check in again at that time if you're looking for that model.
But great news... we also have a NEW model coming out around that same time! No spoilers here but be sure to check back to see all the excitement... hopefully by September!

The new products were launched this week and we're already seeing overwhelming interest. One of the models is almost sold out already!

It's taken awhile but the new models have arrived from production and should be ready to go within the week! We're excited to introduce both the new models as well as new colors. As soon as the products are up on the site, we'll let you know through our facebook page.

We now have the Soundbag Dashboards available in blue. It gives the Dashboards a nice bright look and they match nicely with the interiors of some of the latest sound bags offered by Orca and K-Tek. It's been an exciting first week at Soundbag Dashboards. It's gratifying to see so many sound mixers from around the world order Dashboards. I've had lots of orders going out to the U.S. Also to the U.K., Australia, Canada and even Singapore.
I'm also enjoying the feedback from customers and it's giving me ideas for future products. I'm back at the drawing board coming up with new designs. Stay tuned for some new ideas coming out in the next few weeks.
